Hello dolls!  So I have a new video for you today! Over the weekend I purchased the new BH cosmetics brush set and the 6 color contour and blush kit. Turing your visions into reality!

My 2014 Vision Board

Hello loves! So this post is all about something I have incorporated into my life and has helped me in so many ways. Around this time last year me and my roommate at the time was talking about things we wanted to achieve in life and how to make them happen. We eventually got to the topic of the people we surround our self with and the effects they have on us even the people we follow on social media and what not. We started mentioning people we follow on instagram that give off positive energy and that speak on whats important to us. In the mix of this conversation my roommate told me about a women on instagram by the name of Stillettomeup. Her name was enough for me to give her page a look. Once i got there my screen was full of beautiful louboutins and fashion. In the mix of all of that there was inspirational post about her building her career, business trips, her love of her culture and so much more. This was a smart successful women with an amazing sense of fashion and my dream shoe closet. Duhh I gave her a follow! So after a while of following Ms Egreis on instagram she posted about vision boards and the book the secret. Two things I have heard about before but never put too much thought into it. But when you see someone who has achieved the things you hope to one day achieve you tend to give things a second look. So I watch the movie The Secret on netflix and it was just what I needed at that time. The secret is a understanding of the energy around you. You are given what you give out. (check the movie out on netflix or read a copy of the book to get a full understanding of the Secret) At that time in my life I was questioning why no matter what I did negative thing seemed to follow. I was focusing on nothing but the negative so no wonder that's all I saw. After watching the movie and thinking of a  lot of thing I decide to give the secret a try. From then on I made it my mission to focus on nothing but the good and remain positive at all times. Of course I have days where I focus on the negative...truth moment all day to day I have been focusing on the negative but I told myself i needed to do something positive and out comes this post. To me that is what the secret is all about! Since I was giving this my all I was doing everything I could to make this a lifestyle change. So I made a vision board. A vision board is where you place pictures, words, symbols, whatever you want on a board and all of these thing represent what it is you see for yourself in life. I was so inspired I made a vision door lol. There was so much I saw for myself that I filled my bedroom door with pictures. As the year went on I achieved so much off of my vision door. Everyday I would wake up and literately face what it was I wanted in life and it became my biggest motivation. Simply a picture on my door. A few things on my vision board was graduate cosmetology school, enter the salon fair, work as a MUA, start a youtube channel. These are just a few of the things I achieved last year. I finished school in December, I placed second at salon fair, I worked at Sephora for a while and I now have a Youtube channel and I am apart of a network! Yes these are all things I had to work hard to achieve but it all started with a vision. It all started with my energy. Who knew something so small like cutting out pictures could have such a huge impact on my life. I know some might say this is crazy but im telling you it works! I have made a new vision board for 2014 and I will make one every year of my life. All of this stemmed from a simple follow on IG. Still to this day I follow Egreis on IG. Although she left social media for a while to start a family she came back is still a smart successful women with an amazing sense of fashion, beautiful family and an even better shoe closet. She is still an inspiration and I thank her for opening my eyes to the secret. Everything happens for a reason and I am excited for the future. The purpose of this post is that you can find motivation in the little things and remember that the people you surround yourself around even on social media can effect you in so many ways even if you've never even met them. One thing we can control is the energy you give off and that rather you believe it or not it has effect on you in so many ways. For me the way I turn my visions into reality is starting with positive energy. Find things and people that are positive and I promise you, you will see yourself change for the better!!

Hi Lovelies!
Long time no talk! I know, I know I have neglected my blog, but I am back and and ready to post! First let me give you guys a little update on my life. I graduated cosmetology back in December. I am overly excited to be finished with school!! I have yet to take my state board exam for a couple of reasons. I am now back in college full time and i received a promotion at work. So I am really excited with what is going on in my life right now. I plan to send in my papers for my exam this summer. With everything that has been going on I haven't found the time to get back to blogging on the regular but I am working on it. :) To add to everything i have finally started my YouTube channel!!! Ohhhhh Yeah! lol I have come up with a schedule so i can get videos out weekly, so i figured i can add blogging into that schedule. I post videos every Tuesday and Thursday and a random day of the week just to get a third video out. So in between videos i will post a blog, some will go along with the videos and others will be random topics. I am so excited for everything to come together. If you haven't already please subscribe to my channel. Beauty Spotlight: I Am fashionista

Hey Dolls! Today I bring you another beauty spot light about an up and coming online boutique and the owner Dajah Spence.




Tell me a little about yourself....

"My name is Dajah Spence. I am 21 years old. This is my 4th year at Bgsu, my major is Health care administrations with a double minor of business and gerontology.

I started I Am Fashionista this summer, I launched it July 1st."

Where did you get the idea to start your online boutique?

"I started I am Fashionista  this summer I launched it July 1st. I always had a lot of jewelry and my friends would always come over and borrow things, and they would always say you should start selling it. I was always like no this is my stuff I love it, A lot of the stuff I didn't even wear I just collected it. So one day I was at the bank and the bank teller was admiring my jewelry asked where I got it from, I told her I knew of a couple place with good deals and she told me I should start selling it. I talked to a couple of people that encouraged me to just do it. I was nervous at first, I've never started my own business before. I was never a business women or anything like that so I just had faith. And I'm doing okay I'm not rich or anything but im doing okay. "

What do you say sets your boutique apart from others?

"I have free shipping, my prices are very affordable. I treat my customers like they are somebody not just business. Sometimes I add free gifts to people's purchase depending on the price, when people have birthdays coming up I sometimes put something extra in there for them. I don't treat them as Just money. I always let them know when they post the jewelry don't forget to tag us and ill post it on the page.  I want people to feel like i am their go to girl when they don't have anything they know I have it. I want people to know you don't have to spend all this money to have nice things. "

Since your opening what are most proud of?

"I am proud that I was able to get this far. I never imaged that I would get this much support from people. To be able to come up with an idea and actually seeing my idea come to life. I talked to a couple of people that gave me some encouragement, and I was kind of scared. "What if people don't buy? What if they don't like what I like?" But that's just apart of taking a chance....Being able to make it this far. "

Where do you see yourself and brand  in 5 years?

I'm hoping to have thousands of followers. I look up to other brands like Rich girls. They support other businesses and that's what I love to do! I think its great how other small business are helping each other. I also see they have celebrities promote for them like Draye from basketball wives and things like that . So I'm hoping in five years to be up to where rich girls is at!"

Do you plan to step outside of Jewelry and maybe sell clothing pieces too?

"I sell others items like hats, scarfs. I don't think i'll go into selling clothes but I will do more then just jewelry. You know fashion accessories."

If you could Is there anything you would want to tell yourself 5 years ago, would you of started this sooner?

"I think this is the right time to do this. I have the right mindset, I have the funds for it. I was working really hard over the summer. I invested everything into my business I didn't get any help and I think this is the right time because I'm stable 5 years ago I wasn't."

Are you thinking about linking up with other Bg business?

"I haven't thought about it But that can potentially happen. I know fad watch is doing a lot with other small business that have started clothing lines and things like that, I'm hoping to network with them and link up with stuff like that."

 Is there anything else you would like to say?

"Everyone should follow _Iamfashionista on instagram, I have a Facebook like page, I'm on Pinterest all the social networks. I'm also going to start doing jewelry parties. Maybe at the end of this month beginning of October. I'm also going to have my models in fashion shows wearing my jewelry. I just want people to support "

After we wrapped up the interview Dajah and I just sat and chatted. We talked about different project we both are working and I was able to see that she is a very hard working person.
